Quilt Show to Support Local Women's Group

The local paper picked up the story! RCGW were to run a quilt show. The proceeds were to go 'Women Building Bridges': a local group who help newly-arrived and refugee women to integrate into Australian society. They sent along a photographer and the story made the press. This was wonderful for boosting attendance.

'Make Every Child Count' (MECC) Cambodia

Dr Gan of the Rotary Club of Glen Waverley therefore founded the Make Every Child Count Foundation (MECC) to deliver the humanitarian aid, which is so urgently required.

The concept of MECC is now being taken up by other Rotary Clubs in this remote and disadvantaged area.

The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is a week-long residential personal development program for young people aged 18 to 25, which focuses on yourself, leadership and community. The Rotary Club of Glen Waverley are strong supporters of this initiative and, each year, sponsor local young people to take part.
