The Holmesglen Foundation was established in 2007 to provide financial support for the learners and programs of the Holmesglen Institute.
The Foundation promotes Holmesglen's commitment to accessible education and skills development. Funding distributed to the Institute has been used to award grants and scholarships to students and provide support services to assist learners to remain engaged and succeed in a broad range of courses and programs.
The scholarships initiative is comprised of two components, aimed specifically at students residing in the City of Monash and studying at the Waverley campus :
1. First Qualification Scholarships - to provide scholarships for students commencing in a first qualification at the Certificate III or IV levels. Provision of up 10 scholarships of $1,000 each.
2. Pathways Scholarships - to provide scholarships for students moving from a first qualification to a qualification at Certificate IV or higher. Provision of up to 5 scholarships of $2,500 each.
Together, the two components play important parts in breaking the cycle of disadvantage.
By supporting the scholarship programme, the Rotary Club of Glen Waverley can make a real difference to the lives of students in its community.
